Black Swan {Living/Dining Room}

Hey Guys! I'm back again with a little Black Swan Update. Every week I'm going to break down the design room by room starting with the living/dining area. Currently, this space is a whole lot of ugly... mirrored walls, bad carpet and funky textured walls and ceilings, Yuk! But I have big dreams for this entertaining space.

{Light Fixtures: Park Studio LA Art: Douglas Kirkland, Marilyn Monroe Print Chairs: CB2 x Lenny Karvitz Stone: Ceasarstone, Calacatta Nuvo Wood Floors: Monarch Plank Wood Floors in Foxley Cabinets: Ikea Laxarby Paint: Benjamin Moore, Simply White Knob: School House Electric, Hex Knob}

Let's start with the living room, there is pretty much one word to describe the work being done here, STRIP. I'm stripping the ceiling of it's ugly acoustic popcorn, stripping the walls of their ugly texture, horrible wallpaper and tacky mirrors, stripping the floor of that dirty old carpet, and stripping the fireplace of that cheesy mantel. A little white paint and some hardwood flooring and new lighting fixtures are going to take this dingy space from gross to stunning.

The dining room is more of the same... but there is also a cute little bar that will be styled to perfection once I'm done. I love the way these two rooms will flow from one to the other making it the perfect place to host friends and family.
